Tax Information Network Facilitation Centers or TIN Facilitation Centers or PAN card centers, as they are commonly called, have been established in India to undertake the application and issuance of forms related to TDS and PAN Card of an Indian citizen living in India or abroad. These centers are operated by Protean E-Gov Technologies Limited (formerly NSDL- National Securities Depository Limited) and are located all across India to take care of PAN application and related requirements.
Activities Conducted at PAN Centers/ TIN Facilitation Centers
The list of activities that are conducted at PAN Centers/ TIN Facilitation Centers are mentioned below:
- PAN application forms can be submitted. In case you wish to make any changes to the PAN, the application form can be submitted at the centres as well.
- Form 49B applications are received at these centres. In case you wish to make any changes to the TAN, the application must be submitted at these centres.
- TDS/TCS returns will be received at these centres. However, the returns must be in the paper format and must be from non-government deductors/collectors and non-corporate. The same will be uploaded to the TIN central system.
- E-TDS/TCS returns will be received at these centers. The same will be uploaded to the TIN central system.
- Form 24G statements can be received and the same can be uploaded to the TIN central system.
- It promotes the digitization of tax-related activities, reducing paperwork and manual efforts.
- It can be received and uploaded to the TIN central system for further processing.
